Indications
Paramix is indicated for the treatment of infections caused by protozoa and helminths. It is effective in the treatment of giardiasis, Entamoeba histolytica infections, and Cryptosporidium parvum infections. It is also used in the treatment of infections caused by certain types of helminths, such as Ascaris lumbricoides and Trichuris trichiura. Its use is recommended in patients with a confirmed diagnosis of these infections and must be administered under the supervision of a physician.
Composition
Each Paramix tablet contains 250 mg of nitazoxanide as the active ingredient. It also contains excipients that facilitate the formulation and absorption of the medication.
Contraindications
Paramix is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to nitazoxanide or any of the components of the formulation. Its use is not recommended in pregnant or breastfeeding women, unless strictly necessary and under appropriate medical supervision.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with liver or kidney diseases, as well as in those receiving concomitant treatments that may affect the metabolism of the medication. It is important to perform medical follow-up during treatment to evaluate the response and detect possible adverse effects.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at temperatures not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
