Indications

Palexia (Tapentadol) is indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe acute pain, as well as in the management of chronic pain in specific conditions where effective analgesic treatment is required. Its use is particularly relevant in postoperative situations or in patients with oncological pain. Its action is based on the modulation of opioid receptors and the inhibition of norepinephrine reuptake, which contributes to its efficacy in pain relief. It is important that the use of this medication is supervised by a physician, who will assess the need for and duration of treatment.

Composition

Each tablet contains 50 mg of tapentadol, as well as excipients necessary for the product's formulation.

Contraindications

Palexia is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to tapentadol or to any of the product's excipients. It should not be administered to patients who are receiving monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or to those with severe respiratory depression.

Precautions

Special care should be taken in patients with a history of substance abuse, depression, or seizure disorders. Additionally, it is recommended to monitor patients with compromised hepatic or renal function, as they may require dose adjustments. The possibility of dependence and tolerance should be considered during long-term treatment.

Storage

Store at room temperature, between 15°C and 30°C, in a dry place and out of the reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
