Indications
Oxolvan (Ambroxol) is indicated for the treatment of acute and chronic respiratory conditions that involve excessive mucus production, facilitating its expulsion. It is used in cases of bronchitis, asthma, pneumonia, and other chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases. This medication acts as a mucolytic, helping to dissolve and expel mucous secretions, which improves breathing and patient well-being. It is essential that the use of this medication is accompanied by adequate hydration to maximize its effect.
Composition
Each Oxolvan tablet contains 30 mg of Ambroxol as an active ingredient, as well as excipients that facilitate its formulation and absorption.
Contraindications
Oxolvan is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Ambroxol or any component of the formulation. Its use is not recommended in patients with active peptic ulcers or in those with severe liver or kidney function problems, unless specifically indicated by a healthcare professional.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when using Oxolvan in patients with a history of gastrointestinal diseases, as well as in those with severe respiratory problems. Medical supervision is recommended in the case of asthmatic patients, as the use of mucolytics can lead to an increase in secretion production and possible respiratory difficulty.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
