Indications
Oxathos Syrup is indicated for the treatment of productive and non-productive cough. It acts as an antitussive, helping to reduce the frequency and intensity of coughing. It is useful in cases of cough associated with respiratory conditions such as colds, bronchitis, and other upper respiratory tract infections. Additionally, it can be used for the symptomatic management of cough caused by irritation of the respiratory tract. This medication may be useful in patients who experience persistent cough that interferes with their quality of life or makes adequate rest difficult.
Composition
Each 100 ml of Oxathos Syrup contains:
- Oxolamine: 1 g
- Excipients: q.s.
Contraindications
Oxathos Syrup is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to oxolamine or any of the components of the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with a history of severe respiratory diseases or in those with cough associated with asthma or bronchospasm without medical supervision.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with liver or kidney disease, and in those taking other medications that may interact with oxolamine. It is suggested to monitor the response to treatment and adjust the dose according to clinical need. Prolonged use without medical evaluation is not recommended.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Protect from heat and direct light. Keep out of reach of children.

Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
