Indications
Otedram (Bromazepam) is indicated for the treatment of anxiety disorders, anxiety episodes in the context of generalized anxiety disorders, and panic disorders. Additionally, it is used in the management of anxiety symptoms associated with medical or psychological conditions, as well as in the control of severe agitation and anxiety-related sleep disorders. Its action is based on potentiating the activity of the GABA neurotransmitter, which produces a sedative and anxiolytic effect. It is important that the use of this medication be supervised by a healthcare professional to ensure its efficacy and safety.
Composition
Each Otedram tablet contains 3 mg of bromazepam as the active ingredient, as well as the excipients necessary for the product's formulation.
Contraindications
Otedram is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to bromazepam or any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in patients with severe respiratory diseases, myasthenia gravis, severe hepatic or renal insufficiency, as well as during pregnancy and lactation, unless the benefits outweigh the risks.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when using bromazepam in patients with a history of substance abuse, depression, or behavioral disorders. Its use can lead to dependence; therefore, prolonged use is not recommended. If treatment is to be interrupted, it should be done gradually to avoid withdrawal symptoms.
