Indications
Optomicin Ointment 5Mg 3G (Erythromycin) is indicated for the treatment of superficial bacterial eye infections, such as conjunctivitis and blepharitis. Erythromycin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that works by inhibiting protein synthesis in bacteria, which helps to combat the infection. This medication is also used in cases of bacterial keratitis and other eye conditions where a bacterial infection is suspected. It is important that treatment is carried out under the supervision of a medical specialist.
Composition
Each 100 g of ointment contains 5 g of erythromycin and excipients necessary for the product's formulation. Excipients are components that facilitate the application and absorption of the medication in ocular tissues.
Contraindications
Optomicin Ointment 5Mg 3G should not be used in patients with known hypersensitivity to erythromycin or any of the excipients in the formula. Its use is not recommended in viral or fungal infections, or in cases of non-infectious inflammation of the eye.
Precautions
Special care should be taken in patients with a history of allergies or adverse reactions to antibiotics. Prolonged use of the medication without proper supervision is not recommended, as it can lead to an overgrowth of non-susceptible microorganisms. It is important to avoid contact of the tube with the eyes or any other surface to prevent contamination.

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius. Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
