Indications
Nuvigil (Armodafinil) is indicated for the treatment of excessive sleepiness associated with sleep disorders such as narcolepsy and obstructive sleep apnea. This medication is used to improve wakefulness in patients with these conditions, helping to maintain alertness and reduce episodes of daytime sleepiness. It is important that the use of Nuvigil be accompanied by appropriate sleep hygiene measures and that its administration be part of a comprehensive approach to the treatment of sleep disorders.
Composition
Each Nuvigil tablet contains 150 mg of Armodafinil as the active ingredient. In addition, it may contain excipients that facilitate its formulation and stability.
Contraindications
Nuvigil is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Armodafinil or any of the excipients of the product. Its use is not recommended in people with a history of severe allergic reactions to central nervous system stimulants. Likewise, caution should be exercised in patients with a history of psychiatric or cardiovascular disorders.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Nuvigil to patients with pre-existing cardiovascular conditions, as well as those with a history of substance abuse. Regular medical follow-up is recommended to evaluate the effectiveness of the treatment and possible side effects. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before using this medication.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius, in a dry place protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
