Indications
Nositrol is a medication indicated for the treatment of various conditions requiring corticosteroid administration. It is used in the management of inflammatory and autoimmune diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, and allergic dermatitis. It is also effective in treating respiratory conditions such as severe asthma and chronic obstructive diseases, as well as in replacement therapy for adrenal insufficiency. Nositrol can be used in emergency situations, such as in the management of severe allergic reactions and anaphylactic shock. Its effectiveness in reducing inflammation and modulating the immune response makes it essential in treating patients with diseases that affect their quality of life.
Composition
Each Nositrol ampule contains 500 mg of hydrocortisone as the active ingredient, in addition to excipients necessary for the product's formulation.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to hydrocortisone or any component of the formulation. It should not be administered in cases of untreated systemic infections, active tuberculosis, or in patients with uncontrolled gastrointestinal ulcerations. It should be used with caution in patients with diabetes, arterial hypertension, and those with a history of psychiatric illness.
Precautions
Medical supervision is recommended during Nositrol treatment, especially in patients requiring high doses or prolonged treatments. It is important to monitor blood pressure, blood glucose levels, and signs of infection during corticosteroid use. Dose adjustment is advised in elderly patients or those with significant comorbidities.
