Indications
Norvas (Amlodipine) is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension and angina pectoris. This medication acts as a calcium channel blocker, which allows for the relaxation of blood vessels and, consequently, reduces blood pressure. Additionally, it is used in the prevention of anginal episodes, improving the functional capacity of patients with chronic stable angina. It is important that the use of Norvas be part of a comprehensive approach that includes lifestyle changes, such as a healthy diet and regular exercise.
Composition
Each Norvas tablet contains 10 mg of Amlodipine as the active ingredient. Excipients include: lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, starch, magnesium stearate, and other inert components that allow for the proper formulation of the medication.
Contraindications
Norvas is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Amlodipine or any of the excipients in the formulation. It is also contraindicated in patients with cardiogenic shock, severe heart failure, and in those with severe aortic stenosis.
Precautions
Special care should be taken in patients with hepatic or renal insufficiency, as well as in those with a history of unstable angina or recent myocardial infarction. Blood pressure and cardiac function should be monitored during treatment. Abrupt discontinuation of the medication is not recommended.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
