Indications
Nodescron is indicated for muscle relaxation in surgical procedures and during endotracheal intubation. This medication is used in situations where precise control of muscle relaxation is required, facilitating mechanical ventilation in critically ill patients and during general anesthesia. Furthermore, it can be used in combination with other anesthetic agents to improve the efficacy of the procedure. Its use is recommended in patients requiring major surgery or in those with conditions that necessitate deep muscle relaxation.
Composition
Each ampoule of Nodescron contains vecuronium bromide, a neuromuscular blocking agent that acts at the neuromuscular junction, inhibiting the transmission of nerve impulses to skeletal muscles.
Contraindications
Nodescron is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to vecuronium bromide or any of the excipients in the formula. Its use should also be avoided in patients with myasthenia gravis, Lambert-Eaton syndrome, or in those with neuromuscular diseases affecting respiratory function.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Nodescron to patients with pulmonary diseases, cardiac disorders, or those undergoing treatment with medications that may interact with vecuronium bromide. Monitoring of respiratory and cardiovascular function is recommended during its use. Likewise, the possibility of allergic reactions should be considered, and an emergency management plan should be in place.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
