Indications
Nifezzard is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension and in the management of chronic stable angina pectoris. This medication acts as a calcium channel blocker, which causes relaxation of blood vessels, thereby decreasing peripheral vascular resistance and the workload of the heart. In addition, it is sometimes used for the treatment of pulmonary hypertension and in the management of certain arrhythmias. It is important to follow the treating physician's instructions and to adequately monitor blood pressure and heart rate during treatment.
Composition
Each Nifezzard capsule contains 10 mg of nifedipine as the active ingredient. Excipients include: starch, lactose, magnesium stearate and gelatin.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to nifedipine or any component of the formula. It should not be used in patients with cardiogenic shock, uncontrolled congestive heart failure, or in those with ventricular tachycardia syndrome. It is also contraindicated in pregnant and breastfeeding women, unless otherwise indicated by a physician.
Precautions
Nifezzard should be used with caution in patients with hepatic or renal insufficiency, as well as in those with a history of heart disease. Special care should be taken in monitoring blood pressure, as sudden changes can cause significant adverse effects. Concomitant use with other antihypertensives can potentiate the effect of nifedipine and should be evaluated by a physician.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
