Indications

Neparvis is indicated for the treatment of chronic heart failure in adult patients. This medication combines two active ingredients: sacubitril, a neprilysin inhibitor, and valsartan, an angiotensin II receptor antagonist. Its use is recommended in patients with reduced ejection fraction. Neparvis has also been shown to improve quality of life and reduce hospitalization for heart failure.

Composition

Each Neparvis tablet contains 100 mg of sacubitril and 40 mg of valsartan. Excipients include lactose, microcrystalline cellulose, and other components that facilitate tablet formulation.

Contraindications

Neparvis is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to the components of the formula, as well as in those with a history of angioedema associated with previous treatments with ACE inhibitors or with sacubitril/valsartan itself. It should not be administered to patients with severe hepatic impairment or to those receiving medications containing aliskiren.

Precautions

Special attention is required when administering Neparvis to patients with a history of hypotension, bilateral renal artery stenosis, or renal impairment. It is important to monitor renal function and electrolytes in patients treated with this medication, especially during the initial phase of treatment or when increasing the dose. Caution is also recommended in elderly patients and those with conditions that may predispose to dehydration.

Storage

The medication should be stored at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius, in a dry place protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
