Indications

Neotrex (Isotretinoin) is indicated for the treatment of severe forms of nodular acne or cystic acne that have not responded to conventional treatments. It is also used in cases of acne that cause scarring or when acne emotionally affects the patient. Isotretinoin works by reducing the production of sebum in the sebaceous glands, thus decreasing the formation of acne lesions. Additionally, it can be used for other dermatological conditions under medical supervision.

Composition

Each Neotrex capsule contains 10 mg of isotretinoin, as well as excipients necessary for the product's formulation. It is important to read the leaflet for a complete list of ingredients.

Contraindications

Neotrex is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to isotretinoin or any of the product's excipients. Its use is not recommended in pregnant women or women who may become pregnant during treatment, due to the high risk of birth defects. It is also contraindicated in patients with severe liver diseases, untreated hyperlipidemia, and those taking tetracyclines.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of depression or psychiatric illnesses, as isotretinoin may be associated with mood changes. Regular monitoring of serum lipids and liver function is recommended during treatment. It is also essential that women of childbearing potential use effective contraceptive methods during and up to one month after finishing treatment.
