Indications
Neomicol is an antifungal used in the treatment of fungal infections. It is especially effective in the management of cutaneous and mucosal infections, including ringworm (dermatophytosis), candidiasis, and other fungal infections. This medication is indicated for the treatment of vaginal candidiasis, seborrheic dermatitis, and other superficial skin infections. Its use is recommended in patients with a confirmed diagnosis of fungal infections, and prior medical evaluation is important to determine the appropriate indication. It is not recommended for use in systemic or deep infections.
Composition
Each 1 ml of solution contains: 20 mg Miconazole. Excipients: purified water, propylene glycol, among others.
Contraindications
Neomicol is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to miconazole or any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in patients with a history of severe adverse reactions to other antifungals. Furthermore, it should not be used by pregnant or breastfeeding women without adequate medical supervision.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with liver or kidney diseases, as well as in those who are being treated with other medications that may interact with miconazole. It is essential to carry out medical follow-up during treatment to evaluate efficacy and the appearance of possible adverse effects. Self-medication should be avoided, and a healthcare professional should be consulted for any questions.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.
