Indications
Neolkrindor is indicated for the prevention and treatment of nausea and vomiting induced by chemotherapy and radiotherapy in adult and pediatric patients. It is also used for the management of postoperative nausea and vomiting. This medication acts as a serotonin receptor antagonist, blocking the action of serotonin in the central nervous system and the gastrointestinal tract, which helps reduce the sensation of nausea and the need to vomit.
Composition
Each Neolkrindor ampule contains 8 mg of ondansetron as the active ingredient. Additionally, it contains excipients such as sodium chloride, acetic acid, and water for injection, which are necessary for product formulation.
Contraindications
Neolkrindor is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to ondansetron or any of the excipients in the formulation. Special caution should be exercised in patients with a history of QT interval prolongation or in those receiving medications that may induce this condition.
Precautions
It is recommended to use Neolkrindor with caution in patients with a history of intestinal obstruction, as it may increase the risk of complications. Likewise, its use should be evaluated in patients with severe hepatic insufficiency, adjusting the dose if necessary. It is essential to monitor patients receiving chemotherapy, especially in the case of highly emetogenic chemotherapy.
Storage
Store the medicine in its original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C. Protect from light and keep out of the reach of children.
