Indications
Ndoxyl is a medication indicated for the treatment of acne vulgaris. The combination of clindamycin, an antibiotic that acts against bacteria contributing to acne formation, and benzoyl peroxide, which has antimicrobial and exfoliating properties, helps reduce inflammation and the number of acne lesions. This gel is designed for topical application and is effective in reducing papules and pustules associated with acne. Its use is recommended for patients with mild to moderate acne, as well as those who have not responded adequately to other topical treatments.
Composition
Each 1 g of gel contains: 5 mg of clindamycin (as clindamycin hydrochloride) and 1 g of benzoyl peroxide.
Contraindications
It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of its components. It should not be applied to irritated or injured skin areas, nor in patients with a history of colitis, as clindamycin can cause antibiotic-associated colitis.
Precautions
Avoid contact with eyes, mucous membranes, and sensitive skin areas. Prolonged or excessive use may cause local irritation. If severe irritation occurs, discontinue use and consult a physician. Its use in combination with other topical products containing alcohol or irritating ingredients is not recommended.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
