Indications

Nafacil is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections caused by microorganisms sensitive to Cephalexin. These infections may include, but are not limited to, upper respiratory tract infections, such as pharyngitis and tonsillitis, as well as middle ear infections (otitis media). It is also used in skin and soft tissue infections, as well as urinary tract infections. Its use is appropriate in patients with infections caused by susceptible bacterial strains, and it is important to perform a sensitivity test before starting treatment.

Composition

Each Nafacil capsule contains 500 mg of Cephalexin as the active ingredient. Excipients: talc, corn starch, gelatin, colorants, among others.

Contraindications

Nafacil is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Cephalexin, to other antibiotics of the same class (cephalosporins), or to any of the excipients that make up the medication. Caution should also be exercised in patients with a history of severe allergies or anaphylactic reactions to other antibiotics.

Precautions

Renal function should be evaluated in patients with renal impairment before administering Nafacil, as well as in those undergoing prolonged treatment. Special care should be taken in patients with a history of gastrointestinal diseases, as they may have a higher risk of adverse effects. It is important to monitor for adverse reactions during treatment.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at room temperature, protected from light and humidity. Keep out of reach of children.
