Indications
Mycelvan Spray 1% is indicated for the treatment of fungal infections of the skin and nails, caused by dermatophyte fungi and yeasts. This formulation is suitable for the treatment of conditions such as tinea, cutaneous candidiasis, and onychomycosis. The product works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of the fungal cell membrane, which leads to the death of fungal cells. Its use is recommended in patients with mild to moderate infections, as well as in the prophylaxis of fungal infections in high-risk patients.
Composition
Each 100 ml of Mycelvan Spray 1% contains 1 g of terbinafine as the active ingredient. Excipients: purified water, ethanol, propylene glycol, among others.
Contraindications
Mycelvan Spray is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to terbinafine or any of the components of the formula. Its use is not recommended in pregnant or breastfeeding women without adequate medical supervision.
Precautions
Precautions should be taken in patients with severe liver or kidney diseases. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. In case of local irritation or allergic reaction, the use of the medication should be discontinued and a doctor consulted.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, protected from direct light and out of the reach of children. The storage temperature should not exceed 30°C.
