Indications
Miconazole 2% Cream is indicated for the treatment of superficial fungal skin infections, such as ringworm (tinea corporis, tinea pedis, and tinea cruris), cutaneous candidiasis, and seborrheic dermatitis. It is also used in the treatment of fungal infections affecting the nails. This medication works by interfering with the synthesis of the fungal cell membrane lipids, which leads to its death and elimination. It is important that the treatment is carried out for the recommended duration to ensure complete eradication of the infection.
Composition
Each 100 g of cream contains 2 g of miconazole (equivalent to 2% w/v). Excipients: cetostearyl alcohol, propylene glycol, purified water, among others.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to miconazole or any of the excipients in the formula. Its use is not recommended on skin areas with open wounds or severe burns.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of allergic reactions to other antifungals. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. In case of irritation or sensitivity, discontinue use and consult a doctor. Its use in children under 2 years of age is not recommended without medical supervision.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
