Indications

Meticorten (Prednisone) is indicated for the treatment of various autoimmune diseases, inflammatory disorders, and allergic conditions. It is commonly used in the management of diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It is also prescribed in situations of adrenal insufficiency, as well as in the treatment of dermatological, hematological, and gastrointestinal conditions that require an anti-inflammatory or immunosuppressive effect. Its use must be supervised by a physician, who will determine the appropriate dose and duration of treatment according to the patient's specific condition.

Composition

Each Meticorten tablet contains 5 mg of Prednisone as the active ingredient. Additionally, it contains excipients that facilitate its formulation and administration.

Contraindications

Meticorten is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to prednisone or any of the excipients. It is also contraindicated in untreated systemic infections, peptic ulcers, and in those with systemic fungal infections. Its use in pregnant or breastfeeding women should be carefully evaluated by a physician.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised when administering Meticorten to patients with diabetes mellitus, hypertension, cardiovascular diseases, active infection, or a history of gastric ulcers. Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
