Indications
Meticorten (Prednisone) is indicated in the treatment of various medical conditions that require an anti-inflammatory and/or immunosuppressive effect. It is commonly used in autoimmune diseases, such as systemic lupus erythematosus and rheumatoid arthritis, as well as in severe allergic conditions and in respiratory diseases like asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It is also prescribed for the treatment of certain neoplasms and in situations where suppression of the immune response is required, such as in organ transplants.
Composition
Each Meticorten tablet contains 50 mg of Prednisone as the active ingredient, as well as excipients necessary for the formulation of the medicine.
Contraindications
Meticorten is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to prednisone or any of the components of the formula. It should not be used in systemic fungal infections and in certain viral infections, as well as in patients with peptic ulcers or severe gastrointestinal diseases.
Precautions
Special care should be taken in patients with hypertension, diabetes mellitus, osteoporosis, active infections, and cardiovascular diseases. It is important to monitor endocrine function and blood pressure during treatment. Abrupt discontinuation of the medication is not recommended, and proper monitoring should be carried out if prolonged treatment is being administered.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
