Indications
Meticorten (prednisone) is indicated for the treatment of various inflammatory and allergic conditions. It is used in autoimmune diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis, and dermatitis. Additionally, it is prescribed for the management of respiratory conditions like asthma and chronic obstructive diseases. It is also effective in treating certain hematological disorders, such as thrombocytopenia and hemolytic anemia. Its use extends to gastrointestinal diseases, such as ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease. Prednisone acts as a corticosteroid, reducing inflammation and modulating the body's immune response.
Composition
Each Meticorten tablet contains 20 mg of prednisone as the active ingredient. It also contains excipients such as starch, lactose, and magnesium stearate.
Contraindications
Meticorten is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to prednisone or any of its components. It should not be administered in uncontrolled systemic infections, and in patients with untreated viral, fungal, or tuberculous diseases. Likewise, it is contraindicated in cases of active peptic ulcer and in patients with severe osteoporosis.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with diabetes mellitus, hypertension, gastrointestinal diseases, or infections. Prolonged use of the medication without medical supervision should be avoided, and regular monitoring is important to adjust the dose according to the patient's response and minimize adverse effects.
Storage
Store Meticorten in its original packaging, at room temperature (between 15 and 30 °C) and protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.

Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
