Indications
Meteospasmyl is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of gastrointestinal disorders characterized by pain and abdominal distension, such as irritable bowel syndrome, intestinal spasms, and flatulence. The combination of Alverine, an antispasmodic, and Simethicone, an antiflatulent agent, helps relieve discomfort caused by excessive intestinal activity and gas accumulation. This medication helps reduce spasms of the gastrointestinal tract and facilitate gas expulsion, providing effective relief for patients experiencing symptoms of abdominal cramps.
Composition
Each capsule contains:
- Alverine 60 mg
- Simethicone 300 mg
Contraindications
Meteospasmyl is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. It should not be used in cases of intestinal obstruction, ileus, or intestinal perforation, as the use of antispasmodics can aggravate these conditions. Its use in children under 12 years of age is not recommended due to a lack of studies in this population.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of gastrointestinal tract diseases, especially those with colitis or inflammatory bowel disease. Prior medical evaluation should be considered in patients with pre-existing medical conditions or who are taking other medications that may interact with the components of Meteospasmyl. If symptoms persist or the condition worsens, a doctor should be consulted.

- Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
- FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
