Indications

Mermavie (Meropenem) is indicated for the treatment of severe bacterial infections caused by microorganisms sensitive to this antibiotic. This medication is effective in managing respiratory tract infections, intra-abdominal infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, as well as complicated bacterial infections in immunocompromised patients. Meropenem acts by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to cell death of susceptible pathogens.

Composition

Each vial of Mermavie contains 1 gram of Meropenem as the active ingredient, in addition to excipients necessary for the product's formulation.

Contraindications

Mermavie is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Meropenem, other beta-lactam antibiotics, or any of the formulation's components. Caution should also be exercised in patients with a history of severe allergic reactions to carbapenem antibiotics.

Precautions

It is recommended to use this medication with caution in patients with renal insufficiency, as a dose adjustment may be necessary. Furthermore, periodic renal function tests should be performed, and the appearance of adverse reactions should be monitored during treatment. Prolonged use is not recommended, as it may promote the emergence of bacterial resistance.

Storage

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius. Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.

  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
