Indications
Medibutin is indicated for the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders, particularly those associated with hyperacidity and dyspepsia. This medication combines the properties of Magaldrate, an antacid that neutralizes excess gastric acid, with Domperidone, a prokinetic agent that helps improve gastrointestinal motility. Its use is recommended for patients experiencing symptoms of stomach discomfort, nausea, vomiting, and early satiety.
Composition
Each Medibutin tablet contains 800 mg of Magaldrate and 10 mg of Domperidone. Excipients include: corn starch, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, and others.
Contraindications
Medibutin is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. Furthermore, it should not be administered in cases of intestinal obstruction, gastrointestinal bleeding, or in patients with a history of cardiac arrhythmias or those who are receiving medications that prolong the QT interval.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with liver or kidney disease, as well as in those with a history of heart problems. Medical follow-up is recommended if symptoms persist or worsen after starting treatment with this medication.
Storage
Medibutin should be stored in a cool, dry place, protected from light and out of reach of children. The storage temperature should not exceed 30°C.
