Indications

Maxopress is indicated for the treatment of hypertension, both as monotherapy and in combination therapy. The combination of olmesartan and amlodipine allows for more effective blood pressure control, acting synergistically to improve the management of patients with essential hypertension. This medication can be used in adults and in patients over 18 years of age who do not achieve blood pressure control with other antihypertensives. It is important that therapy is supervised by a physician to ensure its efficacy and safety.

Composition

Each Maxopress tablet contains: 40 mg of olmesartan medoxomil and 5 mg of amlodipine besylate.

Contraindications

Maxopress is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. It is also contraindicated in patients with a history of angioedema related to previous treatments with angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (ACEIs) or in those with bilateral renal artery stenosis.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of liver or kidney disease. Renal function and potassium levels should be periodically monitored in patients using Maxopress, especially in those with comorbidities that may affect renal function. In addition, concomitant use with other antihypertensives should be avoided without adequate medical supervision.

Storage

Keep the product in its original packaging, at room temperature (between 15°C and 30°C) and protected from moisture and light. Keep out of reach of children.

Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
