Indications

Magemiv (Anastrozole) is indicated for the treatment of postmenopausal women with hormone-dependent breast cancer, especially those who have shown disease progression after previous treatment with tamoxifen. This medication works by inhibiting aromatase, an enzyme responsible for converting androgens into estrogens, which results in a significant decrease in circulating estrogen levels. Its use is recommended to improve survival and disease control in patients with advanced or metastatic breast cancer.

Composition

Each Magemiv tablet contains 1 mg of Anastrozole, as well as excipients that allow for the proper formulation of the medication.

Contraindications

Magemiv is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to anastrozole or any of the excipients in the formulation. It should not be administered to women of childbearing age, during pregnancy, or while breastfeeding, as it may cause adverse effects in the fetus or newborn.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, or those receiving concomitant treatment that may affect liver function. Regular monitoring is important to detect the appearance of adverse effects and evaluate treatment response.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
