Indications

Lumigan is indicated for the treatment of ocular hypertension and open-angle glaucoma. Its active ingredient, bimatoprost, works by increasing the outflow of aqueous humor, which reduces intraocular pressure. This medication is commonly used in patients who require effective control of ocular pressure to prevent damage to the optic nerve and vision loss. Additionally, Lumigan may be used for the treatment of other ophthalmic conditions as indicated by a healthcare professional.

Composition

Each milliliter of Lumigan Drops contains: Bimatoprost 0.03% (300 mcg/ml) as an active ingredient. Excipients: sodium chloride, benzalkonium chloride, phosphoric acid, disodium edetate, purified water.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to bimatoprost or any of the excipients in the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with active ocular infections and in those with conditions that could compromise the efficacy of the treatment.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised when using Lumigan in patients with a history of chronic respiratory diseases, such as severe asthma or obstructive pulmonary diseases. Regular medical follow-up is recommended to evaluate the efficacy of the treatment and detect any adverse effects. It is important to avoid contact of the dropper with the eyes or surfaces to prevent contamination.

Storage

Store at room temperature (between 15 and 30 °C). Do not freeze. Keep the bottle tightly closed and out of reach of children. Once opened, it is recommended to use the product within 28 days.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
