Indications
Loxcell Pediatric Suspension is indicated for the treatment of parasitic infections caused by helminths and protozoa. It is especially effective in the treatment of enterobiasis (pinworm infection), ascariasis (intestinal roundworm infection), and giardiasis (Giardia lamblia infection) in children. The combination of albendazole and quinfamide acts synergistically, enhancing the efficacy of the treatment in various intestinal infections. It is crucial to follow the doctor's instructions regarding dosage and duration of treatment to ensure its effectiveness.
Composition
Each 10 mL of Loxcell Pediatric Suspension contains:
- Albendazole: 200 mg
- Quinfamide: 100 mg
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with severe liver diseases or during the first trimester of pregnancy.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when used in patients with a history of hematological disorders, especially those that may predispose to agranulocytosis. It is important to monitor liver function in patients treated with albendazole for prolonged periods. Use in children under two years of age is not recommended without medical supervision.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C. Keep the bottle tightly closed and out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging.
