Indications
Loxcell is indicated for the treatment of infections caused by helminths and protozoa. It is effective in the treatment of ascariasis, enterobiasis (pinworms), trichuriasis, and hookworm. It is also used in the eradication of Giardia lamblia infections and in the treatment of giardiasis, as well as in Strongyloides stercoralis infections. Its use is indicated for adult and pediatric patients, always under the supervision of a physician.
Composition
Each Loxcell tablet contains:
- Albendazole: 400 mg
- Quinfamide: 300 mg
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. Its use is not recommended in pregnant women, especially during the first trimester, or in patients with severe hepatic insufficiency. Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of allergic reactions to antiparasitic drugs.
Precautions
It is important to make an adequate diagnosis before treatment. The possibility of interactions with other medications the patient is taking should be considered. In case of adverse effects, treatment should be discontinued and a doctor consulted. Patients with liver or kidney diseases should be monitored during treatment.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
