Indications

Loratadine is indicated for the treatment of symptoms of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis in adults and children over 2 years of age. It is also used for the relief of symptoms of chronic idiopathic urticaria. Symptoms it can help control include sneezing, runny nose, itchy nose or throat, and itchy or watery eyes. Its antihistamine effect is due to its ability to block histamine H1 receptors, which helps reduce the body's allergic response.

Composition

Each tablet contains: Loratadine 10 mg as active ingredient. Excipients: Lactose, starch, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, and other commonly used excipients.

Contraindications

Loratadine is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to loratadine or any of the excipients in the formula. Its use is not recommended in people with severe renal insufficiency without appropriate medical supervision.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised when administering loratadine to patients with liver disease, as dose adjustment may be required. In addition, combination with alcohol and other medications that may cause sedation should be avoided. Use during pregnancy and lactation is not recommended unless under medical supervision.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
