Indications
Lobivon (Nebivolol) is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension. This medicine acts as a selective beta-blocker, which helps decrease heart rate and blood pressure by blocking beta receptors in the heart and blood vessels. Its use is indicated for patients who require blood pressure control to reduce the risk of cardiovascular events, such as myocardial infarction and strokes.
Additionally, Lobivon can be used in the management of chronic heart failure, in combination with other treatments, helping to improve heart function and quality of life in these patients. It is important that the use of this medicine is supervised by a healthcare professional, who will determine the appropriate dose and treatment regimen according to the individual needs of the patient.
Composition
Each Lobivon tablet contains 5 mg of Nebivolol as the active ingredient. Additionally, excipients such as lactose, starch, and other inactive components that facilitate the formulation of the medicine are included.
Contraindications
This medicine is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Nebivolol or any of the excipients in the formulation. It is also contraindicated in those with severe bradycardia, second- or third-degree heart block without a pacemaker, decompensated heart failure, and in patients with asthma or severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of respiratory diseases, diabetes mellitus, or who are undergoing surgery. Regular monitoring of blood pressure and heart rate during treatment is essential. Abrupt discontinuation of the medicine is not recommended, as it may lead to an increase in blood pressure.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at room temperature, out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date shown on the package.
