Indications
Lobivon (Nebivolol) is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension. Its mechanism of action is based on the reduction of heart rate and the decrease in peripheral vascular resistance, which contributes to the reduction of blood pressure. In addition, it has also been used in the management of heart failure in some patients, improving quality of life and functional capacity. This medication can be administered alone or in combination with other antihypertensives to achieve optimal blood pressure control.
Composition
Each Lobivon tablet contains 5 mg of Nebivolol and excipients necessary for its formulation.
Contraindications
Lobivon is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Nebivolol or any of the components of the formulation. It is also contraindicated in cases of severe bradycardia, second or third-degree atrioventricular block, decompensated heart failure, and bronchial asthma or severe chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with peripheral arterial disease, diabetes mellitus, hyperthyroidism, and in those undergoing surgery, as Nebivolol may mask the signs of hypoglycemia. Regular medical follow-up during treatment is important.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children.
