Indications
Lobi Hz is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension in adults. The combination of nebivolol, a selective beta-blocker, and hydrochlorothiazide, a diuretic, acts synergistically to lower blood pressure. This medication can be used as initial therapy or in patients who have not achieved adequate blood pressure control with a single antihypertensive agent. Lowering blood pressure can help reduce the risk of cardiovascular events such as myocardial infarction or stroke.
Composition
Each Lobi Hz tablet contains:
Nebivolol 5 mg
Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg
Contraindications
Lobi Hz is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to nebivolol, hydrochlorothiazide, or any component of the formula. It should not be used in patients with decompensated heart failure, second- or third-degree heart block, sick sinus syndrome, or in those with a history of angioedema associated with previous ACE inhibitor treatments. It is also contraindicated in patients with severe kidney diseases and in those who are being treated with certain medications that may interact negatively.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, diabetes mellitus, mild to moderate liver or kidney disease, and in those who have experienced episodes of hypotension. It is important to monitor blood pressure and kidney function during treatment. Care should be taken when initiating treatment in patients over 65 years of age, due to increased susceptibility to side effects.
