Indications
Lintaz-4.5 is an antibiotic indicated for the treatment of various severe bacterial infections. It is used in the treatment of complicated intra-abdominal infections, respiratory tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, as well as complicated urinary tract infections. Additionally, its efficacy has been demonstrated in the treatment of sepsis and nosocomial pneumonia. This medication works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, resulting in cell death of susceptible bacteria.
Composition
Each ampoule of Lintaz-4.5 contains 4 grams of Piperacillin and 0.5 grams of Tazobactam as active ingredients. It also contains excipients that allow for the proper formulation of the product.
Contraindications
Lintaz-4.5 is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Piperacillin, Tazobactam, or any other component of the formulation. It is also contraindicated in those with a history of severe allergic reactions to other beta-lactam antibiotics, such as penicillins or cephalosporins.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of kidney disease, as renal function may affect drug elimination. It is important to monitor renal function during treatment. Likewise, the risk of allergic reactions should be assessed in patients with a history of atopy or previous allergic reactions. In case of diarrhea, the possibility of pseudomembranous colitis should be considered.
Storage
Lintaz-4.5 should be stored at a temperature between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius, protected from light and humidity. Keep out of reach of children.
