Indications
Libertrim Sii is indicated for the treatment of functional bowel disorders, including colic and abdominal distension. This medication combines Trimebutine, an agent that acts on the enteric nervous system, and Simethicone, an antifoaming agent that helps reduce the accumulation of gas in the gastrointestinal tract. It is used in situations of digestive discomfort that may be caused by irritable bowel syndrome, gastritis, or dyspepsia, providing symptomatic relief to patients.
Composition
Each tablet contains:
- Trimebutine 100 mg
- Simethicone 37.5 mg
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with intestinal obstruction or severe problems in the digestive system that require immediate medical attention.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Libertrim Sii in patients with severe gastrointestinal diseases, such as ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease. It is also advisable to monitor patients with a history of respiratory disorders, as gas accumulation may aggravate certain conditions. It is essential to consult a doctor before starting treatment if the patient has a relevant medical history.
