Indications
Libertrim Sdp Suspension is indicated for the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders characterized by the presence of colic, abdominal distension, and flatulence. It is useful in managing symptoms related to irritable bowel syndrome and other conditions involving altered intestinal motility. Trimebutine acts as a regulator of gastrointestinal motility, while Simethicone helps eliminate gas and relieve the sensation of bloating. This medication can be used in cases of acute or chronic abdominal pain, as well as in situations requiring the reduction of gas formation in the gastrointestinal tract.
Composition
Each 5 ml of suspension contains: 0.6 g of Trimebutine and 0.6 g of Simethicone.
Contraindications
The use of Libertrim is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formulation. Its use is not recommended in cases of intestinal obstruction or intestinal perforation. Additionally, caution should be exercised in patients with a history of severe gastrointestinal diseases.
Precautions
It is recommended to use this medication under strict medical supervision in patients with liver or kidney diseases. Likewise, it is important to note that prolonged use should be evaluated by a healthcare professional. In case of persistent or worsening symptoms, a doctor should be consulted to re-evaluate the treatment.
