Indications
Libertrim is indicated for the treatment of functional gastrointestinal disorders that manifest with abdominal pain and alterations in intestinal transit. It is used in cases of irritable bowel syndrome, spastic colitis, and other disorders related to intestinal motility. Its action focuses on regulating intestinal motility, which helps relieve symptoms of bloating and abdominal pain, as well as normalizing intestinal transit. This medication can be useful in both diarrhea and constipation situations, providing a balancing effect on the digestive system.
Composition
Each Libertrim tablet contains 200 mg of Trimebutine as the active ingredient, as well as excipients that facilitate its formulation and absorption.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Trimebutine or any of the excipients in the formulation. It should also be avoided in cases of acute intestinal obstruction and in individuals with a history of active inflammatory bowel disease.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of severe gastrointestinal diseases, as well as in those with hepatic or renal impairments. It is important to monitor the response to treatment and adjust the dose as needed. Prolonged use without medical supervision is not recommended.
