Indications
Liberan 50 mg is indicated for the treatment of flatulence and abdominal distension. Simethicone, its active ingredient, acts as an antiflatulent agent that facilitates the elimination of intestinal gases, providing relief in cases of abdominal discomfort associated with gas accumulation. It is useful in the preparation for radiological or endoscopic examinations, where the reduction of gas bubble formation is necessary to obtain clear images.
Composition
Each Liberan tablet contains 50 mg of simethicone as the active ingredient. Excipients: starch, talc, magnesium stearate, and other inert excipients.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to simethicone or any of the excipients in the formula. Its use is not recommended in cases of mechanical intestinal obstruction or in the presence of abdominal pain of unknown origin.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when using Liberan in patients with severe gastrointestinal diseases. It is important to consult a doctor before starting treatment in case of pre-existing diseases or if other medications are being taken that may interact with simethicone. Prolonged use without medical supervision is not recommended.
Storage
Store at room temperature, in a cool, dry place, out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.
