Indications
Lexotan (Bromazepam) is indicated for the treatment of anxiety disorders, as well as anxiety episodes associated with depressive disorders. It is also used for the treatment of agitation, insomnia, and emotional tension. Its anxiolytic action is effective in reducing anxiety and stress, providing a calming and relaxing effect on the patient. Dosage should be individualized and adjusted according to the patient's response to treatment.
Composition
Each Lexotan tablet contains 6 mg of Bromazepam as the active ingredient. In addition, it contains excipients such as lactose, starch, and other inert components that facilitate the administration of the medication.
Contraindications
Lexotan is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Bromazepam or to any of the excipients in the formulation. It should not be administered in cases of severe respiratory insufficiency, sleep apnea syndrome, myasthenia gravis, and in patients with a history of substance abuse. Its use during pregnancy and lactation should be carefully evaluated.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Lexotan to patients with a history of depression, as well as those with medication dependence problems. It is advisable to avoid alcohol consumption during treatment, as this can potentiate the sedative effects of the medication. It is important to monitor for adverse effects and the possible appearance of withdrawal symptoms when discontinuing treatment.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at room temperature, protected from light and out of reach of children. Do not use the medication after the expiry date indicated on the packaging.
