Indications
Lexotan (Bromazepam) is indicated for the treatment of anxiety disorders, as well as for the management of tension and anxiety states that may occur in various clinical conditions. This medication can be useful in the management of symptoms related to generalized anxiety disorder and other anxiety-related disorders. Additionally, it can be used preoperatively for anxiety reduction and for short-term insomnia treatment, always under appropriate medical supervision.
Composition
Each Lexotan tablet contains 6 mg of bromazepam as the active ingredient. It also contains excipients that aid in the formulation of the medication, allowing for proper dissolution and absorption.
Contraindications
Lexotan is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to bromazepam or any of the excipients in the formula. It is also contraindicated in patients with myasthenia gravis, severe respiratory insufficiency, sleep apnea syndrome, as well as in those receiving treatment with other central nervous system depressant medications without appropriate medical supervision.
Precautions
Caution is advised in patients with a history of substance abuse, depression, or liver disease. Furthermore, it should be used with care in the elderly and in patients with health problems that may be exacerbated by the use of benzodiazepines. It is important to avoid abrupt discontinuation of treatment, as this may lead to withdrawal symptoms.
Storage
Lexotan should be stored at room temperature, in a dry and cool place, protected from light and out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging.
