Indications
Lexotan (Bromazepam) is indicated for the treatment of anxiety disorders, as well as for the management of anxiety symptoms associated with stressful situations. This medication can be used in the treatment of anxiety-related sleep disorders and for preoperative sedation. Generally, it is prescribed in cases where a rapid and effective anxiolytic effect is required, helping to reduce emotional tension and providing a state of calm.
Composition
Each Lexotan tablet contains 3 mg of Bromazepam, as well as excipients q.s. for the tablet formulation.
Contraindications
Lexotan is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Bromazepam or any of the components of the formula. It should not be administered to patients with myasthenia gravis, severe respiratory insufficiency, sleep apnea syndrome, or in combination with other central nervous system depressants, unless under strict medical supervision.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Lexotan to patients with a history of substance abuse, depression, and in the elderly, as they may be more susceptible to the sedative effects of the medication. Likewise, it is recommended to monitor patients with liver or kidney problems, as well as those who are being treated with other medications that may interact with Bromazepam.
Storage
Lexotan should be stored at room temperature, in a dry and cool place, protected from light and out of the reach of children.
