Indications

Lectrum (Leuprorelin) is indicated for the treatment of various medical conditions related to hormone production. It is primarily used in the management of situations such as advanced prostate cancer in men and the treatment of uterine fibroids in women. Leuprorelin acts as a gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonist, inhibiting the production of sex hormones, which can help reduce the size of hormone-dependent tumors and alleviate symptoms associated with these conditions. Additionally, its use may be considered in cases of severe endometriosis and precocious puberty in children.

Composition

Each Lectrum ampoule contains 3.75 mg of leuprorelin, as well as the necessary excipients for its formulation.

Contraindications

Lectrum should not be used in patients with known hypersensitivity to leuprorelin or any of the excipients in the formulation. Furthermore, it is contraindicated in those who are pregnant or breastfeeding, as well as in patients with a history of thromboembolism or severe cardiovascular diseases.

Precautions

Special care should be taken in patients with a history of heart disease, impaired liver or kidney function, and those who are undergoing anticoagulant treatment. Regular monitoring is recommended during treatment to assess response and the appearance of adverse effects.

Storage

Store at a temperature between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius. Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
