Indications
Labixten is indicated for the treatment of symptoms of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, as well as chronic idiopathic urticaria. Bilastine works by blocking H1 histamine receptors, which helps reduce symptoms such as sneezing, nasal itching, rhinorrhea, and nasal congestion. It is also effective in relieving skin manifestations associated with urticaria, providing a rapid and long-lasting effect in patients suffering from these allergic conditions.
Composition
Each Labixten tablet contains 20 mg of bilastine as the active ingredient. In addition, it contains excipients such as microcrystalline cellulose, starch, and other inactive components that aid in the formulation of the medication.
Contraindications
Labixten is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to bilastine or to any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in pregnant or breastfeeding women without the supervision of a physician.
Precautions
It is important to use Labixten with caution in individuals with moderate or severe renal impairment. Alcohol consumption should be avoided during treatment, as it may potentiate the sedative effects of the medication. Likewise, it is recommended not to drive or operate heavy machinery during the first few hours after administration, especially in patients sensitive to sedative effects.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C, in a dry place and protected from direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
