Indications

Kiara is indicated for the treatment of bacterial and fungal infections. Clindamycin is an antibiotic that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis, being effective against various gram-positive bacteria, as well as some anaerobes. Ketoconazole is an antifungal agent that interferes with the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of the fungal cell membrane. This medication is used in the treatment of skin infections, fungal infections, as well as systemic infections caused by susceptible organisms.

Composition

Each capsule contains: 100 mg clindamycin (as hydrochloride) and 400 mg ketoconazole.

Contraindications

It is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to clindamycin, ketoconazole, or any of the excipients in the formulation. It should not be administered in cases of severe liver diseases or in patients with a history of severe allergies to imidazole antifungals.

Precautions

Caution is recommended in patients with a history of gastrointestinal diseases, especially colitis. Liver and kidney function should be monitored during treatment. Likewise, it is important to avoid concomitant use with other medications that may affect the liver.

Storage

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius, in a dry place protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.

Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
