Indications
Ki-Cab (Tegoprazan) is indicated for the treatment of diseases related to gastric hypersecretion. It is effective in reducing acid production in the stomach and is used in the management of conditions such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), gastric and duodenal ulcers, as well as in the prevention of gastric lesions associated with the use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Additionally, it may be useful in the treatment of gastritis and in the eradication of Helicobacter pylori when used in combination with antibiotics. It should be administered under strict medical supervision, and it is essential to follow the health professional's instructions for adequate and safe treatment.
Composition
Each Ki-Cab tablet contains 50 mg of Tegoprazan as an active ingredient, as well as excipients that facilitate its formulation and absorption.
Contraindications
Ki-Cab is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Tegoprazan or any of the excipients of the formulation. Its use is not recommended in pregnant or breastfeeding women, unless strictly necessary and under the supervision of a doctor. Likewise, it should not be administered to patients with a history of severe liver diseases.
Precautions
It is important to inform the doctor about any other medication the patient is taking, as well as their medical history, especially in cases of liver or kidney diseases. Regular medical follow-up is recommended during treatment, especially in elderly patients or those with pre-existing medical conditions.
