Indications
Kedrop (Ketotifen) is indicated for the treatment of allergic conjunctivitis, which presents with symptoms such as redness, itching, and watery eyes. This medication acts as an antihistamine, helping to reduce the allergic response, thereby relieving ocular discomfort caused by allergens such as pollen, dust, and other environmental irritants. It is used in patients who experience symptoms of seasonal or perennial allergic rhinitis, as well as in those who experience ocular irritation due to exposure to allergenic factors.
Composition
Each milliliter of ophthalmic solution contains 0.25 mg of Ketotifen as the active ingredient. Excipients: sodium chloride, purified water, and other excipients.
Contraindications
This medication should not be used in patients with known hypersensitivity to Ketotifen or to any of the excipients in the formula. Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of obstructive pulmonary diseases or asthma.
Precautions
It is recommended to avoid using contact lenses while using this medication. In case of ocular irritation or allergic reaction, discontinue use and consult a doctor. Use in pregnant or breastfeeding women is not recommended unless strictly necessary and under medical supervision.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at room temperature, protected from light and out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
