Indications
Kazimibe 10 mg is indicated for the reduction of total cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein (LDL), and triglyceride levels in patients with primary dyslipidemia. This medication is used in combination with an appropriate hypocholesterolemic diet to treat heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia and primary hypercholesterolemia. Additionally, it can be used in patients with a high cardiovascular risk, in order to decrease the incidence of cardiovascular events associated with atherosclerosis. Ezetimibe works by inhibiting the intestinal absorption of cholesterol, which contributes to the reduction of blood LDL levels.
Composition
Each Kazimibe tablet contains 10 mg of Ezetimibe as the active ingredient. Excipients include: microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, iron oxide, among others.
Contraindications
Kazimibe is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Ezetimibe or any component of the formula. It should not be administered to patients with active liver disease or elevated transaminase levels. It is also contraindicated in pregnant and lactating women, due to the lack of adequate studies in these populations.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of liver disease or in those receiving other medications that may affect liver function. Regular monitoring of transaminase levels is important during treatment. Renal function should be evaluated in patients with chronic kidney disease before starting treatment.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
