Indications
Infinitam (etanercept) is indicated for the treatment of various autoimmune diseases. It is used in adult patients with active rheumatoid arthritis and in pediatric patients, as well as in the management of juvenile idiopathic arthritis. It is also indicated for the treatment of psoriatic arthritis and moderate to severe plaque psoriasis in patients requiring systemic therapy. Additionally, it is effective in the management of ankylosing spondylitis and in the treatment of hidradenitis suppurativa. Its mechanism of action is based on the inhibition of tumor necrosis factor (TNF), which helps reduce inflammation and improve joint function in autoimmune conditions.
Composition
Each Infinitam syringe contains 50 mg of etanercept. It also contains excipients that facilitate its stability and administration. It is important to review the leaflet for complete information on the product's composition.
Contraindications
Infinitam is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to etanercept or any of the components of the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with active infections, untreated tuberculosis, or in those with a history of severe reactions to human proteins. Its use should be carefully evaluated in patients with diseases that compromise the immune system.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of recurrent infections, congestive heart failure, or hematological disorders. Clinical monitoring is essential for patients who develop signs of infection during treatment. It is recommended to avoid co-administration with other immunosuppressive treatments without proper medical supervision.
Storage
Infinitam should be stored in its original packaging, at a controlled temperature between 2 °C and 8 °C. Do not freeze. Keep out of reach of children.
