Indications
Infalin Duo is indicated for the treatment of inflammatory and allergic conditions of the eye and its adnexa, as well as for the treatment of bacterial eye infections. This medication combines the antibiotic action of ciprofloxacin, a fluoroquinolone that acts on a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, with the anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic activity of fluocinolone, a corticosteroid that helps reduce ocular inflammation and redness. Its use is recommended in cases of bacterial conjunctivitis, keratitis, and other eye infections where inflammation is a significant component of the pathology.
Composition
Each ml of Infalin Duo contains: Ciprofloxacin 3 mg and Fluocinolone 0.25 mg, plus necessary excipients for the formulation.
Contraindications
Infalin Duo is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to ciprofloxacin, fluocinolone, or any of the excipients in the formulation. It should not be used in viral or fungal eye infections, nor in cases of ocular tuberculosis.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of eye diseases, as well as in those who wear contact lenses. Prolonged use may increase the risk of secondary eye infections. Use in children under 12 years of age is not recommended without medical supervision. Contact with the dropper tip should be avoided to prevent contamination.
Storage
Store at room temperature, in a dry place protected from light. Keep out of reach of children. Once opened, it is recommended to use the product within 30 days.
